A Destination Wedding in the Loire Valley, at Le Manoir de Louis 26

July 11, 2026 · 7 min read

Some couples dream of a wedding among châteaux, a short flight from home, in a place that feels like a film. The Loire Valley is that place, and at its heart, in Amboise, the Strolling King keeps a Court for your big day. Here is how Le Manoir hosts a destination wedding.

Why get married in the Loire Valley?

The Loire Valley is a UNESCO World Heritage region, a garden of kings dotted with châteaux and vineyards. It is romantic, refined, and unmistakably French, everything a destination wedding is looking for.

And it is easy to reach: Amboise is about an hour from Paris by train. Your guests fly into Paris, hop on a train, and arrive without a long transfer. Far enough to feel like a journey, close enough for everyone to come.

Le Manoir: a wedding venue for up to 300

Le Manoir stands at 19 avenue de Tours, in the very heart of Amboise. It reshapes itself to the size of your celebration, from an intimate gathering to a grand reception.

Where your guests sleep: the City Suites

The party over, no one hits the road. The City Suites, within Le Manoir itself, keep the couple and their loved ones for the night. Everyone wakes up in Touraine, and the celebration can stretch over a weekend, with the town of Amboise offering more rooms a short walk away.

Planning a wedding from abroad

A destination wedding is planned across a distance, and that is our habit. We correspond in English, shape your day remotely, and take care of the spaces, the menu and the timeline. You arrive to a celebration already in place.

The civil, legal formalities are a separate matter, handled at a town hall or in your home country. Le Manoir hosts the celebration and the reception, the part everyone remembers.

The royal barbecue, the signature meal

Here, the main course comes off the fire. The barbecue is the signature of Le Manoir: smoked meats, vegetables over the coals, wholehearted generosity. We build the menu with you, and it becomes a meal your guests carry home, along with the Loire and the châteaux.
